IS IT REALLY FREE?
Full Time – YES – All expenses paid once you meet us at the gate. (i.e. Have a passport in hand, make arrangements to the airport, pack only what you need, or pay for a checked bag) and then we have you covered. Flights, cruise, hotel, meals, booze, tips, taxes… all included!
Part Time, Seasonal, Close Network Subcontractors – No. – Our negotiated price is $1,300 including everything listed above.
SO WHEN WE PORT, DO WE GET SPENDING MONEY?
No. All excursions or additional fun you want to do off the ship, that’s on you. There are several additional opportunities (i.e. eating at local restaurants, taking an island tour, snorkeling, etc) at your option, on your dime.
WHO DO I ROOM WITH?
Rooming will work in one of the following ways:
- You can mutually request / decide to room with a fellow ROCKstar.
- RTH will assign you a staff roommate.
- You may pay to upgrade to a single room, balcony, or suite. Upgrade pricing will be distributed soon.
- You may room with a guest you are bringing.
- In the event that there is an odd number of people going, there is a small chance you may be assigned to a single room.
REALLY? I CAN BRING A GUEST?!
Yes! We know that it takes incredible amounts of support from family and friends to work in this industry and they are appreciated!
All Full Time employees may bring (1) guest for a flat rate of $500. This price is heavily subsidized by RTH and we will cover all the same items listed above this price.
Part Time, Seasonal, and other ROCKstars can bring one guest as well for $1,300 as well.
I HAVE BEEN MEANING TO GET MY FRATERNITY BROTHERS TOGETHER FOR A TRIP AND THIS IS SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN I COULD FIND ANYWHERE, CAN I BRING 15 ADDITIONAL PEOPLE?
No, maximum 1 guest per person.
I REALLY WANT TO TAKE MY WIFE, GIRLFRIEND, FRIEND, ETC… BUT I DON’T HAVE MONEY I CAN SPEND TODAY, ANYTHING WE CAN DO?
No problem, we’ll be happy to allow 5 consecutive $100 payroll deductions for Full Time ROCKstars.
Part Time, Seasonal, and other ROCKstars will need to pay for the entire trip before November 1, 2018. Details TBD.
WHAT’S THE ITINERARY?
Jan 6: Depart CLE – Arrive in Miami, Hotel stay
Jan 7: Travel to Port, Set Sail
Jan 8: Day at Key West… Sail
Jan 9: Day at Cozumel… Sail some more
Jan 10: Just keep sailing… Fun day at Sea
Jan 11: Dock in Miami, Flight Miami to CLE
DOES THIS TRIP COUNT TOWARD MY PTO?
Nope, they are bonus days! (Full Time Staff)
DO I HAVE TO GO?
You will be missed… but no.
DO I STILL HAVE TO BE WORKING AT RTH AT THE TIME OF THE TRIP?
Yes. The trip is a reward for active employees that are in good standing, are ‘full-time’, and meet the pre-determined hour requirements, or part time, seasonal, and other ROCKstars.
WAIT!?! I’M NOT A FULL TIME ROCKSTAR BUT I’D LIKE TO COME… CAN I??
UPDATE 10/5/2018: YES YES YES YES you can come!
The trip is currently reserved only for ‘full time’ ROCKstars and their guests, however, we are currently discussing the option of part-time ROCKstars, entertainment team members, and frequently used sub-contractors traveling with us. In the event that we decide that this is possible, the rate per person will likely be approximately $1,300 or so per person.
IF I DON’T GO, CAN I HAVE THE MONEY YOU WOULD HAVE SPENT ON ME?
Unfortunately not.
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HOW THIS MIGHT AFFECT MY PERSONAL TAXES?
There are some changes in 2018 regarding the ability for companies like ours to categorize the trip (a rewards trip vs. company travel) and per IRS guidelines we need to do it correctly. This means employees may have a small tax liability as the “fair market value” of the trip might have to be classed as employee compensation; which means both the employee and RTH may have a small tax liability based on the trip.
This does not apply to ROCKstars and guests that are paying $1,300 to go.
IF I DON’T GO DO I STILL GET THE ADDITIONAL DAYS OFF?
No, and you will most likely will need to work because someone has to run this place.
I DON’T LIKE THE BEACH, IS THERE OTHER STUFF TO DO?
Yes! Click here to check out all of the activities on the ship.
DO I HAVE A HAVE TO HAVE A PASSPORT?
Yes. If you don’t have one, you still have time. You can get both the form and photo online, or at any Cuyahoga County Library.
CAN I GO ON PART OF THE TRIP BUT NOT ALL?
Sorry… it’s an all or nothing experience.
CAN I MEET YOU THERE OR EXTEND MY STAY IN FLORIDA AFTERWARDS?
See answer above. 🙂 But if there is an extreme case, just come talk to us and we may make an exception.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE SHIP, STAYS ON THE SHIP – RIGHT?
Don’t be an idiot. If it would get you in trouble at home, it will get you in trouble on the trip… only you might end in the brig… or in jail in another country.
OK, I GET IT, I DON’T HAVE TO SPEND ANY MONEY BUT I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE, WHAT CAN I SPEND MONEY ON?
Souvenirs, Shore Excursions, High-End Bottles of Wine, Gift shop, Spa, Casino, Port Day Activities, Feature Restaurants, etc.
SO, I’M SURE LOTS OF US FROM RTH ARE GOING, I DO HAVE TO HANG OUT WITH YOU AT ALL?
Yes and No. While we’d love spend as much time with you as possible, most of the trip is “free time.” There will be a small number of signature events that we do together, but otherwise you’re on your own to do anything you choose!

DOES MY PHONE WORK AT SEA?
Yes and No. The ship has phone service but it’s very expensive. Internet and/or phone service will not be covered by RTH. Any phone or data charges associated with usage of company phones and/or your usage on the ship will be your responsibility.
